NPP Projection Admin 10/20 Jack/Alec



To do this evening/ was completed: Ran the first reel of Final Destination 2 for Cristina. Volume logged, for SR that is. Alec did some more maintenance on the digital sound heads in T4.

Ran through the setup for the Museum of Home Video event next Wednesday with the host. Very easy setup. The host's laptop initially did not have "mirrored display" selected so be aware of that possibility when connecting HDMI. He'll use a wireless mic connected to the PA for his commentary.

Checked in on Killers--6.5 sounds right.

The Killer and Five Nights at Freddy's ingested. Forecast content downloaded, all 10/27 first run playlist built as well as playlists for The Witches and Destroy All Monsters. 

I posted the schedule for November and December today. Be aware that hours are not in Schedulefly yet for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and the week in between the former two. There won't be any admin during these holidays so it will just be one person here for three rounds (or two on Christmas/New Years Day when there is an extra round). When we get the film schedule for those weeks, I will put the hours in. -AL

Maintenance/cleaning: SRD is working again in Theater 4. The reader I moved over from Theater 6 a little while ago actually did the trick, the cables were just switched on the back of the sound processor. I ran the new cable along the wall to the rack. Going to remove the other Dolby Digital penthouse reader from T6 to keep as a spare, so we'll only be able to do analog sound formats in there, which I think is fine for how rarely we use this room for 35mm. -AL

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
