NPP Projection Close 10/12

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Brooklyn Horror Fest bumper cut off at the very end; John noted that Alec had downloaded a new version but it seems like this updated file is still experiencing issues

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded pre-show file elements for Anatomy of a Fall from the shared drive to the Preshows & Trailers hard drive

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Kill Your Lover screening and Q&A went smoothly despite a rough start (the SPL did not have the correct pre-show elements built into it/the Spotify playlist was not loaded so Lillian and I were forced to briefly halt the show and make the necessary adjustments but got everything running normally with a few minutes to spare before the introduction and festival ads played) 

Double checked the show playlists for NewFest for Saturday and I am not sure the pre-show elements are correct (event memos for the Wake & Bake shorts program and This Place feature screening say "NF35_Preshow_CAROL" but this content is not on the shared drives or labelled as such in the SPLs?) 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received two canisters containing The Haunting on 35mm and brought them down to theater 1

Anatomy of a Fall and Destroy All Monsters feature content became available and was ingested to the TMS; Coraline was ingested to the TMS and can be transferred over to theater 1 once space on the server is cleared up

Outgoing/Shipping (content): 

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Noticed the A/C unit in the 3/7 booth is leaking; mopped up as much as possible but the drip is continuing to run

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: Removed Barbie and Bottoms + added The Eras Tour and Dicks: The Musical

Posters updated?: Removed The Royal Hotel (and added this to the archive tube since it was the only one we had for it) and put The Eras Tour in its place + added The Holdovers to the exterior coming soon cases

Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes

Projection cart by entrance?: Yes

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
