NPP Projection Close 10/24



To do this evening/ was completed: A simple night back with a print at the tail end to keep things busy! 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: I downloaded the updated Thriller preshow clips and put them on DCPII and tried to ingest it, but it wasn't showing up in local storage. I was going to build The Killer preshow, but I wasn't able to because of this. 

We still need a playlist for The Explorers. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Final Destination 2 in Theater 4 went great! Just some minor framing adjustments overall, but it went smoothly. Reels are rewound ready for post inspection and everything else is broken down. 

The Gameboy DJ in Trees was set up easily and it is broken down. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content):  I ingested what I believe is the sing a long version of Dicks: The Musical as well as the keys. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Cleaned the Theater 4 projectors 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I filled out the rest of the cue sheets for next week. We're still missing timing for The Killer, Priscilla, The Holdovers, The Witches, and Nosferatu. We also need credit start time for Explorers. On Thursday in Theater 3, there's a gap between the first round Dicks at 4:35) and a later round (The Holdovers at 9:35). I usually expect an event memo to explain that gap, but couldn't find it.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
