Projection Admin 10/30



To do this evening/ was completed: False alarm went off this morning. It was a false warning. I reset the theatres and tested each one to make sure we're all set for today. Keep an eye out for the film schedule this evening. 

Additional staff screenings have been sent out for tomorrow. 

For recording the Q&A tonight, I'm having us use the PC instead of Photobooth on the iMac. I set up the extender and it whilst it definitely works, I ran a few tests with myself walking around in the theatre and speaking into the microphone and it's just not as smooth as the PC. I'm sure we can work it out, but for tonight, we'll use the PC, which looks/sounds good. I had Will walk around with the mic in T1 and took a test video. I adjusted the playlist for Book of Shadows to have the mic volume at 6.5 since it was too harsh sounding at 7.0. I went through the webcam setup with Jack. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Sent The Matrix from the TMS to T3 so it can be tech'd for the private on Thursday. 
Built the playlist for Sundays on Fire (Prison on Fire). 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Chairs are down in T1 and off to the side for this evening's Q&A for Book of Shadows. They'll want spots and a wash for this Q&A, which is setting 202. 

For the private event in Trees tonight, they want Rocky Horror playing, which we have on Plex (thank, Alec and Joe!). The event is from 7 - 10pm, and this is not a 3hr long movie, so please restart it once the first round is over. If it helps, set yourself a timer for a few minutes before the first round ends! (this is up and running)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the Prison on Fire print from the Academy. 
Received Excess Baggage. 

Sent our T1 certs to the folks who'll be making the KDM for Mr. Kneff. We should get the KDM for 11/08-11/10. 

Received the file of Practical Magic from Desmond today. I have this transcoding in DCP-o-matic to the DCPII drive in 4/6. It should finish around half 7 tonight. Please ingested to T3 once it's finished! We'll be taking a look at this tomorrow. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: WB is inspecting Excess Baggage. I started inspected the first two reels of  Prison on Fire.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated today! We have tracking info for Night of the Hunter, though it's not live yet. 

Maintenance/cleaning: Loops have been run in T1 for this evening. 
WB swept and mopped T1 and cleaned the projectors. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Double checked this evening. 

Marquee updated?: WB updated the marquee today. Took down brunch titles from the weekend, which have been replaced with new ones. More 35mm, too.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
