NPP Projection Report 11/18 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Made a lot of updates to the AOR document, made updates to every shift so please look it over. It's printed out and hanging on the whiteboard above the desk in 4/6.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Not sure if the adjustments to Streetcar and Tyrone playlists were saved yesterday but the volumes were the same as what I put in when I built them last weekend, and the levels were a little too loud for both features. Lowered Streetcar to 5.2 and Tyrone to 5.0. Playlists updated. Also added a cue to set the masking back to 1.85 after Streetcar, before the DCP Show End pack.

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): I emailed IMoxie customer service to check on the one sheet orders I placed yesterday as they seem to have disappeared from our online account. In the future it might be more effective to just email them with one sheet requests (though you should check the website to make sure the movie poster you're looking for is distributed by a studio they handle and one sheets are available for the title) since I've often had issues ordering through their website. Ordering/Receiving (content): Forgot to add this to the blog yesterday, but we received one can of The Long Kiss Goodnight with Hudsucker, the other can arrived today. Both are in booth 1.

Maintenance/cleaning: Cleaned and greased the lower gears (behind the flywheels) on T4 P2.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Removed "HI" from Streetcar for tomorrow, not sure why this was added but this feature has no accessibility tracks. Tyrone has all three so I updated it to HI/VI/CCAP for tomorrow.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
