12/30 Projection Admin



To do this evening/ was completed: Re- Make MKV inquiry from previous blog: So, this is always a little annoying to do since we haven't purchased a license from them, but you essentially need to download the latest access key (which I now have bookmarked) as it's available for the beta version through mid January. You need to reopen Make MKV after entering the licensure (perhaps a few times, which is what i had to do and it was very annoying) but! It should work. I got this up and running again and pulled the Paddington 2 file. This has been downloaded to the comp in T1. Please run this through Handbrake tonight and reference the Projectionist Manual if you can't remember some of the steps. Thanks! 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Checked the SE playlists for this week and made sure all T6 and T4 playlists are set.

Maintenance/cleaning: Bumped Sean about 70mm. Excited to really get the ball rolling on this. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. We're all set for tomorrow. Double checked everything when I came in this morning, so there won't be any surprises tonight.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
