NPP Projection Close 12/14

To do this evening/ was completed: Took down Dreamgirls letters, put up Godfather Pt II.

Downloaded and ingested the BobbysWorld trailer, Maniac Cop 2 playlist built.

Now Showing snipe up for Wonka.

T1 swept and mopped.

Presentation Issues: MOD walkie'd round two to inform me that the bass coming from Renaissance in T3 was shaking the walls in T7, very much disrupting the quiet of the film Boy and the Heron. I brought the volume down multiple times in T3, to 5.0, then 4.5 and ultimately 3.9, but there wasn't much that could be done to stop the subwoofers from vibrating. I think Renaissance sounds alright at 4.0 instead of 5.8, but we should get ears on it tomorrow. Regardless of the volume, however, I think all concert films should play in T5 exclusively, as that's the only auditorium that's really separated from the others. I personally would be driven crazy by the low hum and vibration of another movie intruding on my film, and I know there were multiple complaints tonight.

Right at the end of the night the power went out very briefly in the building. Apparently it was a city-wide power surge/outage. The whole thing was a second-long flicker, which caused all of the projector lamps to suddenly turn off. I dismissed the cool-down message on all of them, turned them back on and rewound all films by 5-6 minutes. Each film only had about 5-10 to go. Manually turned off all lamps after shows ended.
