NPP Projection Report 12/5 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: The regular Priscilla playlist was scheduled for the Babies screening today. Please remember to make a separate playlist for the Babies showings and schedule it for the Tuesday matinee in Theater 2. Made one for KOTFM next week and scheduled it.

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up and tested the mics in Theater 4 for the Still Q&A tonight. This is all set for tonight.

Set up a mic in Theater 3 for tonight's intro. Checked the feature as well and bumped up the volume in the playlist and added a lights up cue for the short end credits sequence.

Posting late since I was here through the private event in Theater 4 because DMS wasn’t able to send a tech. This went well although the lav mic for Michael J. Fox didn’t work super well. I had it turned up all the way but it was still too quiet and the director held his wireless mic up to him as he talked. They requested a second lav mic right before the Q&A started which we had in the cases sent by DMS, this along with the other picked up Fox’s voice pretty well but resulted in an unpleasant staticky noise so I turned it off, and the one mic on its own was too quiet as mentioned.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Downloading Killers of the Flower Moon from Aspera for the private event on Thursday. Apple specifically requested that we use this version since it has their logo at the beginning and the theatrical DCP does not. It's going on to the Preshow & Trailers drive since it has the most free space. Once it finishes ingest it to the TMS and then transfer to Theater 5.

Ingested Boy and the Heron (subbed and dubbed versions) and Poor Things to the TMS.

Dreamgirls print arrived.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Both Lethal Weapon prints were picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Ran a reel of Cobra for Desmond in T1, print looks really good. Sounds oddly quiet at the top of reel 1 but seemed to get a bit louder. Wrote the volume down on the note sheet.

Inspected the first reel of Dreamgirls, it's in excellent shape.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: We received an email from DMS that the certificates for all our servers (except Theater 3 as it's the latest model) need to be upgraded by the end of the year to ensure playback functionality, as Dolby is phasing out the model most of the theaters use. It's a simple process just takes a lot of rebooting. Completed this for Theater 1 and Theater 6. Will take care of the rest tomorrow, except Theater 7 since if I reboot that one there's a good chance we'll lose connection to the server 30 minutes later. DMS should be replacing this one with an IMS3 (the latest model) soon anyhow.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
