Projection Admin 12/06

To do this evening/ was completed: Note for managers - Please do NOT turn on the table lights tomorrow. This goes for all theatres, despite the fact that I'm not sure which screening rooms they'll be in. We are keeping them off for maintenance. The light technicians are coming in on Monday! 

Had our cinema meeting - We're looking great on content, just had to forward our specs to the techs for Beyond Utopia (private on Monday next week) since their security blocked my first email. Road Side Attractions emails are tricky and this has happened to me before, but the bounce back didn't show up until the second time I sent it. Ask someone on the team for an alternate address if you ever run into this. Update: received/ingested the keys and we got an e-delivery for the DCP. I have ingested this and will take a look tomorrow! 

Presentation Issues: Projection please note: I got a call from Carly that the masking didn't execute for Napoleon in T3 first round. I found that the power strip had been turned off, presumably after the Q&A on Tuesday? Our motor control for the masking is connected to the power strip so PLEASE do not switch off the power strip - just turn off the mixer. 

Staff screenings are out! Playlists are built/scheduled. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated the 12/01 playlists of Renaissance with the new CPLs since the new KDMs start on 12/07 and the other files expired already. 

Built the playlists for KOTFM (private 12/07), Christmas Vacation, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Built a small playlist for How To Have Sex for the screener this Friday @11:30 in T4. It's got 5 min of the NPP welcome that starts at 11:25. 

Tech'd The Boy and the Heron. I noticed the 5.1 versions were being used in the playlists already built, so I added the 7.1 versions to the DUB_CCAP and the SUB since there's no 7.1 for DUB_OCAP. I'll check the 7.1 versions tomorrow since they need to transfer still, but all in all, this feature sounds good at 6.5 right now. It can be very gentle and quiet (as most Gibli films are) but also much, much louder in some sequences. We might have to adjust volume in the smaller theatres, so definitely keep an ear out. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: All four mics were in T1 so I put those back to charge. My assumption is that they were still left out from NoBudge, so please remember to put those back in their charging ports. Thanks!

When setting up Spoons tomorrow, use the wireless mics and connect them to the PA speakers as we've been doing for other events. For their laptop audio, connect the XLR cable hanging on the wall by the rack in T1's booth (it's labeled as the cable for Spoons laptop audio) into the mic input on the CP750, and activate the Mic input on the front of the unit. Once their laptop is connected to the HDMI cable to the AJA, you'll get their sound through the CP750/cinema speakers. -A

Print/video Inspection: Finished inspecting Dreamgirls, no change in condition, it's excellent. Pictures on the drive -A

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes, updated with new tracking info. One note: I thought it would make sense to update the Ingested section to say Ingested/Inspected, so that's been changed. 

Maintenance/cleaning: Maintenance folks came in this morning to wash out the AC units. Equipment/Desk has been put back. Everything was properly covered up, just got a bit of water on a few notes/papers on the white board. Also, I put The Boy and the Heron up on the white board. Changed the credits offset on the cue sheets since it's closer to 5 mins of credits as opposed to the previous 4 mins of credits. 

Kat will be coming over tomorrow morning around 11 to work on Plex! 

Server certificates are updated for all which need it, except 7, which I don't want to reboot because it will likely shut itself down after powering up, which is the issue it's been having and why it's being left on. Followed up with DMS about its replacement -A

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Double checked today cross referencing the TMS. I added the titles and captions for this Sunday (this is the only day that's incomplete for the week of 12/08) and started filling in the times.
