NPP Projection Open/Admin 1/16



To do this evening/ was completed: Spent almost the whole shift running the private conference event in T2. Overall it went pretty smoothly, however there was a bit of AV difficulty before things got underway, mainly that it was told to me shortly before the presentations began that the clients needed sound for videos embedded in their presentations, as well as live wireless mics to present with at the same time. Obviously not possible to do both those things at once using the CP750, so I quickly set about trying to set up wired mics connected to the Shure speakers. Ultimately, we started on time, and all of the presenters chose not to use a microphone, but I was having a little difficulty with this request as I was running around the building looking for mic stands, teching the powerpoints with the clients with lights down and going down to Trees repeatedly to restart the Brooklyn Nets logo slide video, as Apple TV kept reverting to a screensaver 5-10 minutes after the video was put on screen. Additionally I could not find one end of the XLR behind the stage we use to connect the Shure speakers to each other, as it was basically hidden near the masking motor. This is all to say that we should both confirm every aspect of a client's presentational needs in advance and probably just pre-set every piece of equipment so that it's on-hand and ready should there be last minute requests. I was getting feedback from the wired mics once I had set them up, and this was as most of the guests had started seating in the auditorium. Event went smoothly though, all transitions were easy. Broke down all equipment afterward and put things back to their respective bins/areas. Two mic stands in T1, two in Trees AV/general storage closet.

Also the T2 Non-sync command on TMS quick controls fails when you press it. This threw me for a little bit. Going to macro controls tab is an easy alternative to execute the command. I didn't have time to investigate/re-add the cue to the server.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
