NPP Projection Report 2/16 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the Pagemaster trailer and NSF preshow clips. New forecasts arriving by EOD.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Got another HDMI to DVI adapter and put it in Theater 3 so all the projectors which use DVI instead of HDMI have one.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Private Benjamin print came in. In booth 1.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Made a new shipping label for Curse of the Cat People, it had a FedEx Ground label but we should always use Express. Canceled the shipment/pickup and scheduled a new one for today.

Curse of the Cat People and Heroes Shed No Tears got picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Ran the first reel of Buckaroo Banzai for Cristina. All good, volume noted!

Teched Four Weddings and updated the playlist and cue sheets. Very loud logos added to the beginning so I added a cue to raise the volume 30 seconds in, after those finish.

Finished inspecting Freddy's Dead. Turns out this movie was released with the last 10 minutes in 3D, so that's the case with the print we received. John checked with Park Circus to see if they have a non-3D version which they do not. We'll probably test it out with some generic blue-red glasses when we tech it. Either way it looks like we have what we have. The print also has quite long (about 15 frames) and visible emulsion scratches which appear roughly every other second throughout all reels (well, at least 3-5 because that's what I inspected, but I assume the same is true for 1 & 2 since they were so consistent).

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated timing for Four Weddings and filled it in for Buckaroo Banzai.

Marquee updated?: Added Oscar Shorts to the front.

Posters updated?: Took down Iron Claw and put up Spaceman as a coming soon.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
