Projection Admin 2/15



To do this evening/ was completed: Early start to the day getting the Pillow Book outta here. Jack is out sick today. Alec will be coming in this evening to provide Will with some event support. Deleted the One Love staff screening for today since no one showed. 

Took a seat out in T1 for R1 One Love. In the same theatre for the same round, there is also a closed captioning device out.  

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Went through the Superbad DCP/playlist. Made a few adjustments. All set for this evening! 

Went through the To Kill A Tiger playlist again today. Added an extra mic for tonight's Q&A. Everything looks/sounds great. John looked at it, too. FYI - I updated the playlist and the event memo, but they have decided to not do an intro. They just want to do the Q&A.

New KDM for Tales of Hoffman is in. Tech'd it this morning- the colors look amazing. Updated the playlist and rearranged a few things. This was missing the Happy Hour PSA. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Shouting at the Screen is ready to go tonight. I setup the speakers in T2, connected them to the mixer. Brought the adapter from T1 into T2. Tested the wireless mics, hdmi connection for the laptop and the DCP w/mics. Everything's working great. When the time comes, plug in the laptop, turn on the mixer/speakers/mics and you'll be good to go! 

Ingested The Sweet East to the TMS, sent it to T1. I got my eyes on this and have the info for volume/credits. We are waiting on the special preshow elements for this show. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): 

Ordering/Receiving (content): KDMs for The Lego Movie and Raiders of the Lost Ark should be coming in some time this weekend. 

Left a note about downloading Wild Parrots to T1, but this also got downloaded to the 4/6 desktop. I am trying to extract the DCP in T1 - Update: Successfully extracted the DCP. Copying over to the DCPII drive in T1.  This will be done soon. Please ingested once it's done copying over. Should be ready closer to 7pm. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Printed a label and scheduled a pickup for Curse of the Cat People. Getting picked up tomorrow. 

Print/video Inspection: Started inspecting Freddy's Dead in T1. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Updated today. 

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Initials are down.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
