NPP Projection Report 3/13 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduled staff screenings and sent out an email.

Downloaded and ingested the Kevin Geeks Out preshow.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Cleaned the projectors and then ran loops for Boyz N the Hood tonight.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received posters for Sasquatch Sunset and Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Ordering/Receiving (content): I'm remaking the Paperboy DCP on the T1 iMac, I got the audio channels wrong.

A drive was dropped off with the Make Me Famous DCP. I ingested it to Theater 4.

Ingested Ghostbusters Frozen Empire to the TMS.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Printed labels for Pumping Iron II, it's on the cart awaiting pickup tomorrow.

Print/video Inspection: Desmond mentioned possibly looking at Friday Part IV tonight to share a video with Cristina so we can make a call about the screening on Monday.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Regarding Jack's note about the P1 trap, the spring for that disc which moves at the top of the trap's film path was dirty which was causing it to get stuck/move stiffly. If it is sluggish to bounce back if you push it out (or it doesn't move at all), thoroughly clean the spring area with a q-tip & alcohol, and apply some WD-40 if needed (I did today as it was getting quite stuck). It's moving freely now. Readjusted the position of both discs as the stationary one was pushed too far away from the gate bands to compensate for the spring-loaded one not moving properly.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in Problemista and Love Lies Bleeding shows for tomorrow.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
