NPP Projection 5/21 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: The lights issue in theater 4 was resolved(?) after Jack disconnected/connected the power from a circuit board at the rear of the sound rack -- the final rounds played without interruption and all lights stayed down during feature playback

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Added some missing masking/lights cues to the Kill Bill double feature and scheduled it on the TMS

Added missing SPLs to theater 2 on the TMS (not sure if the swapped IMS caused these to be deleted and/or if they were never scheduled to begin with) for the entirety of the day

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Tech'd Kill Bill Vol. 1 and added a lights up cue at the start of the credits to its solo show and double feature screening (not enough disk space to transfer Vol. 2 to theater 1 so the former will need to be deleted following its solo show on 5/25)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested keys for Band of Outsiders, Hit Man, Furiosa, and Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, in addition to the rest of our first run titles

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: A/C unit in booths 3/7 went down this afternoon and could not be successfully power cycled (switches were on + the door was left open beside the lobby bar to ventilate the warm air)

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
