Projection Admin 5/9



To do this evening/ was completed: Weekly Projection update is out - please familiarize yourself with the events you'll be working, plus there's a few notes on summer vacation plans and 7Shifts. 

Folks are barely showing up for those earlier Abigail screenings...we've all taken turns shutting them down due to no-shows. Bummer. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist(s) for First Wives Club. KDM will open up tomorrow morning! Transferred the feature to T2. 

Ingested the 5min Lynch preshow. Built the playlist for Dune (1984) 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Put two chairs off to the side in T1 for Born Innocent. Simple setup this eve. Wireless mics for the intro/Q&A. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Checked the TMS for any missing KDMs, noticed Dune II would expire by Friday evening. Reached out and got the new set almost immediately! Uploaded. 

Received and ingested The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. 

Started downloading the DCP of Mamma Mia to the preshows/trailers drive. Should be done downloading later tonight. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Finished inspecting the last three reels of Dune (1984). 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Got the final critical warning for the lamp in T5. Changed it out before opening. Definitely felt a lot more comfortable this time in T5 now that I'm more familiar with working in that tiny space. Image looks nice and bright. Tools an everything have been brought back up to 4/6. 

Teching Dune with Cristina tomorrow. On the calendar. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. 

Marquee updated?: Added Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and I Saw the TV Glow

Posters updated?: Quick note here, folks - we seem to be missing a lot of poster keys. There's barely any left. Please check your pockets/bags at home! We don't want to lose these.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
