NPP Projection Report 6/15 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Humanist Vampire was teched but the credit offset wasn't added to the playlist, so we'll need to grab that before Wednesday night. Same deal for Search for Spock which is showing on Monday. Please at least record the credit start timecode somewhere we can all access when you tech DCPs like these, which don't come from Deluxe.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built and scheduled the Make Me Famous playlist. Still waiting on the Humanist Vampire slide for that playlist.

Built and scheduled the SE_X playlist for Tuesday. :P (I used the R first run trailer pack for this, the version with the Villain Edit trailer)

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Mulholland had a great show in T1. I played this at 8.5 on both processors, which sounded nice and loud in the full house. I also adjusted the framing for the "extra headroom" per the famous projectionist note from David Lynch, which turned out to actually be necessary since tops of heads would have been a bit cut off in some shots had I left the framing at normal 1.85. So if you run loops don't adjust the frame knob for tomorrow, you'll see the matting above the first Universal logo but that's it.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested keys for X with the Maxxxine sneak preview. These open on Monday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Took a look at Make Me Famous in T4 this morning. This is all good.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
