Projection Admin/Mid Jack/Lil

To do this evening/ was completed: Went into the T2 booth to hook up a drive with all Desmond's slides for Basic Instinct, and found a ton of water in there. Quickly tried to mop everything up and wipe it down with paper towels/rags. I let Juan know who told Carly to turn off the AC unit, which is where the leak was coming from. Condensation had pooled in the metal box below it, rapidly draining water, the corners of which I sealed to prevent any of the water getting out. It should just stay there, with a small leak, but it was not pleasant seeing a bunch of water near the rack and projector(s). I emailed Matthew about this so we can get someone in here to properly drain that out and come up with a solution to prevent further leaks. Got as much water out of there as I could. No easy feat. Update: folks are here working on it. The kill switch, for whatever reason, didn't work.  - Lillian 

A note about the masking in T4: I figured out what this was. Not sure if the board was resat last night or this morning, but the ethernet cables for the switch boards that execute the masking (and other such) macros, were not plugged in. I don't recall leaving them out yesterday as they were weirdly coiled up and off to the side of the projector (?), but it's been a long few days, so who knows. This did, of course, solve our masking dilemma. Tested a bunch of cues. I'll still be here to change the lights/ get Shay hooked up this evening whist Will runs Cloud Atlas. update: Will has setup for Trivia. Thank you, Jack, for coming back with the DJ key lol. Just tested the microphone in trees and we're all set!  - Lillian

Ran loops for Cloud Atlas, all set. Started building 6/21 cue sheets but did not get too far today.

Private kids' screening went smoothly this morning.

Special Events/ AV set up: Made all the slides for Basic Instinct, which certainly took a hot minute. I got rid of excess files on the desktop and in the TMS that we don't need to help with the strange sluggishness. Helped Jack with the lights, he tech'd the slides with Desmond - everything has been written down. Jack can add more notes on it here. Hellrasier slide will need to be tech'd still (the breakdown with music, not the intro). - Lillian 

Basic Instinct breakdown slide tech'd, 4.0 volume. All dragshow songs (individual DCPs) tech'd. Volumes are as follows:

Ma'am she song: 5.0 vol, Vigor Mortis/K James song: 7.5 vol, Miss Malice song: 6.5 vol, Ramona song: 7-7.5 vol.

Went through light cues with Desmond as well, input 403 for Malice, 202 for Ma'am She, 203 for Vigor Mortis and 412 for Ramona.

Basic Instinct feature was not tech'd, come to think of it. So that'll need eyes at some point.

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received the DCP for the Proposal on 6/22, which has been ingested to T6 (Before Sunset is the feature. I ingested this yesterday!). Chenelle actually came in this evening to go over it ( i threw it into DCP-o-matic so she could watch and write down cues to share with the host to confirm a few things. event memo will be updated soon). - Lillian

We received the new files for the student film series this week (a little last minute, but it's for the kids, so we're doin it!). I downloaded all the videos and put them into a folder labeled STUDENTFILMSERIES_062024 I have DCP'd the first one, which should be finishing up on the preshows/trailers drive this evening. - Lillian

Print/video Inspection: FYI- Thelma is an unencrypted feature, so this can get tech'd tomorrow! The keys for The Bikeriders will come in later tonight. - L

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: We received the prints of Hellraiser and Talented Mr. Ripley today. Brought up to the T1 booth. - Lillian. 

Hellraiser has been fully inspected and tech'd (reel 1) with Desmond, volume logged (8.5 - Dolby A). Only reel two leader displayed sound format info. - J
