NPP Projection Close 7/9

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Was testing the spots in theater 4 for the intro to The Sandpiper and, after turning these off, almost immediately got a call that the spots were on in theater 3...rushed downstairs to turn these off and refrained from turning them back on during the intro since I did not want to risk somehow(???) turning these on during the feature in theater 3 as the guest was speaking upstairs

Special Events/ AV set up: The Sandpiper screening in theater 4 went very smoothly (minus the spots for the intro) + cleaned the projectors after the show and closed the exhaust valves to the lamp houses

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Uploaded Fly Me to the Moon keys to the TMS + began converting Dr. Black Mr. Hyde for Shouting at the Screen to DCP in booth 1

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected The Sandpiper after the show and packaged it for return shipping

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Tossed the regular trash in 4/6 + brought up additional trash bags for both bins

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Double checked cues/cross referenced the schedule and adjusted accordingly + initialed for confirmation

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
