NPP Projection Report 7/26 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Working on setting up a live trial of Screenwriter, which will be our new TMS, soon. I'll keep everyone updated!

Brick work is done in Theater 4 I believe, though the right surround speaker needs to be moved back to its permanent spot. I'll be taking care of that on Tuesday.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Ingesting all new preshow/trailer content for next week to the TMS.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: 1.85 lenses and plates are in place in both T4 projectors but you'll want to run loops before the show in there tomorrow morning.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): CatVideoFest ingested to the TMS.

Trap was delivered and is ingesting to the TMS

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Trouble in Paradise picked up

Print/video Inspection: Teched The Sting in Theater 2. All set for this weekend.

Teched Pet Sematary II with Cristina, volume noted on the info card.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: The rear two right surround speakers in T4 are back in their permanent spot. Since the one closest to the screen did not get moved to a temporary spot, I took it down today and they put up a new wood block which I mounted the speaker on. They said they would put the permanent wood block up  next week. Once that happens, I will move the speaker back to its permanent position. Tested the speakers and they sound good.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Posters updated?: Took down Maxxxine and put a now showing snipe above Deadpool. Brought Alien: Romulus outside for coming soon. The Front Room and Beetlejuice are up in the lobby.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
