To do this evening/ was completed: New preshow content downloaded and ingested. A1 7/19 playlists built. R-rated trailer pack is missing the Class of '99 trailer, which will be on Drive next week. Those playlists can get updated then. 7/5 content removed from servers.

Inspected the rest of Trouble In Paradise, it's in great condition. Put in back on its shipping reels for now.

Just FYI all - We have A LOT going on in August with vacation dates. I don't think anyone will have a normal schedule (we've been discussing this more extensively in some threads as you all know, and we're sorting it out very well) but really I just want to remind everyone to keep a very close eye on that month to see the established changes so there's no surprises and you know what days you're working each week. - L

*Ran a loop and adjust the plates/lenses for 1.37 on P1 to tech Trouble in Paradise today, which looks rather lovely (!) in T1. Switched over to P2 for Thief, which also looks really, really good. Sound noted on their white cards. Desmond is super happy about both. - L

*Cristina and I sat down to look at the V2 DCP of Dr. Black, which was still out of synch. This one was 24fps. Wasn't here for the first tech, but I thought that--in addition to it being out of synch--that it just sounded kind of funny, and that's usually because of a frame rate change (OG was 30fps), but it was just originally out of synch. I'm not sure why this is funky again, but I found another file on YouTube (wouldn't download, even after I got Premium) but Alec has access to another link, so we're trying that! Then we'll DCP it. Fingers crossed. 
*Matthew came round this morning to check in on the fire extinguishers, which aren't the right kind of extinguisher we really need in the booth. We'll have Juan sort that out soon. I didn't even realise they weren't the right sort until checking the letters on the back. It can be kind of tough to tell, but they should be grade C. - L


Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked Saturday and Sunday! - L

Marquee updated?: Took down outbound titles (Longlegs and Fly Me to the Moon were already ready to go as I mentioned in the previous blog). Adjusted some of the posters outside. We could probably put something different in the lobby for one of them (it's up to date, but we don't necessarily need two of harold and the purple crayon up - one outside, one inside from yesterday). - L

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
