To do this evening/ was completed: Ariel, one of our IT people, came in to do some work on the WiFi. He was real jazzed about the fact that we still run analog film.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd Twisters. Looks and sounds great at 5.5! 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup for Shouting at the Screen in T2 with the external speakers and wireless mic receiver, changing its function for T2 mics. Everything has been tested, just turn on the power strip/receiver paneling. I found one of the mics by the curtain so I left it in the charging port with the rest of the other mics. Please remember to put everything back at the end of a show, or leave a note for the next person in. Thanks! Aja is ready - laptop has been tested and I'm charging the bluetooth wand in the booth. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat sent over the new playlist/trailer info early, the rest of the files will be available a little later on. I downloaded and ingested the new forecasts, mubi crossing trailer,  and deadpool 5min preshow for 7/26. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: We received the print of The Manitou, which is unfortunately pretty damn faded (Although I kinda had a hunch and wanted to check in with it first today to find out. Also has some rough spots of structural damage in the first reel and suffers from vinegar syndrome, despite the image looking quite alright). I sent an image to Cristina early on during inspection. Uploaded some fun photos to the drive already, but I'll finish inspecting this tomorrow.

Alec is re-inspecting Set It Off so we can get it on its way outta here. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning: This morning, I removed the first right side speaker in T4 (but kept the mount in place) so that the builders could finish up the brick work in there. It was totally fine keeping the mount there. I put it back before opening and tested the channels/content. Everything's working great. 

Took out the trash and recycling in 4/6. Wiped down the surfaces. Dusted off the main rack laptop. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked! 

Marquee updated?: Added Twisters to the marquee. 

Posters updated?: Added the 'now showing' to the Twisters poster.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
