NPP 8/3 Projection Close. Lillian

To do this evening/ was completed: Hi everyone. First of all, thank you for helping me out with coverage so I could get some r&r. I appreciate you all very much.

Unfortunately, we had a tough night here. You'll all have seen my email about the strange noises coming from the projector in T6, the ventilation, and the smells moving their way through T2. I did worry about the possibility of the fire alarm going off, and it did, mere seconds after Jared and I hoped it'd be alright as the smells seemed to be receding in both places, which weren't hugely offensive to begin with, but our smoke detectors are good. For some theatres, this happened during the penultimate round, and for others it was final round. It took a lot of team effort for us to get back on track. Having to both physically and digitally reset everything and then adjust the times correctly certainly rook a minute, but we made it work as best we could with the challenges presented to us, and got everything back up and running as fast as humanly possible.

Once theatre 6 finished, I opened up the projector to check the lamp house/overall interior to see if a change was needed in order to safely proceed with tomorrow's shows. To my horror, I found that a hole had been burnt in, right below the lamp, which also melted part of the case near the anode terminal. I don't have a solid idea as to why this happened. I immediately reached out to DMS, looping in Matthew and Alec, and attached photos. You've all been forwarded the email, but we'll need to see how fast they can assist us. I'm not entirely sure how much can be salvaged since it's hard to see just how deep the burn is, but regardless of whether or not it's capable of being refurbished, we'll need another projector for the time being and we will definitely be cancelling first round, which would give us until 2pm-ish. We will keep you all posted and, depending on the news, I'll come in tomorrow to assist. The projector is off and fully unplugged. We have a new lamp that's ready to go, too. Feeling a little frustrated, of course, but we'll get it sorted and will have our answers soon. Glad we bought that face shield. I know this is probably obvious, but please do not open up the projector as it's in an enormously vulnerable state.
