NPP Projection Admin 8/27



To do this evening/ was completed: Ingested AfrAId feature and built 8/30 playlists for it.

Made a playlist for 8/31 Cat Video Fest shows.

Scheduled the coming week in the TMS and continued working on cue sheets. *Looks like the AfrAId showtimes will have to be updated due to updated schedule.*

Ran loops in T1 and cleaned the projectors for tonight's show. Playlist double-checked. Added the Class of '99 trailer to the playlist right before the intro per Desmond's request. 4.0 volume and lights at MID. Lights MID for intro as well. Double-checked intro and Q&A slides, those are all set. *Double spot lights to right of screen for intro, double spotlights centered for Q&A, wrote that down on a note right next to P2 for reference.*

Alec added some oil to P2 intermittent sprocket, seems it was time for it. I was starting to hear ratcheting-like noises from that area of the projector.

Checked mics in T3 for the Temples Q&A. Sounds good at 7.5 on the processor. *Borrowed one mic from T1 so that will have to go back.*

Ran a reel of Lady in the Water for Cristina, volume logged.

Labels printed for Detroit Rock City, pickup scheduled for tomorrow. Print is by the side entrance.

Set up a laptop connection for the Film Feast test screening this morning in T3. I was not able to get an image from the HDMI connection from the rack PC to the Christie. I could see the PC registering the HDMI connection but no image would appear. Same Christie input (blu-ray flat) worked fine with a separate HDMI connection directly into the laptop. After some more tinkering, connecting the cable to the blu-ray player and then back to the PC a few times Alec was able to get an image. Something to be aware of.

New marquee-letter grappler arrived, in 3/7.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
