NPP Projection Close 8/30

To do this evening/ was completed: Spent the majority of the evening building out first run show playlists for the week of 9/6 (His Three Daughters needs to be tech'd for credit start time + have light cues added)

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Jess emailed about swapping theaters for Afraid this weekend so it should be noted that Blink Twice and Alien: Romulus are in theater 1 for the final rounds of the night and Afraid will end the night in theater three (note: the first of these last two rounds in 3 will need to be started manually as there is an overlap during the credits from the previous one -- please note the gap on the schedule tab)

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): The Substance poster was received and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content): Downloaded and ingested Beetlejuice Beetlejuice pre-show content in addition to other generic content for the 9/6 show playlists

Ingested Jailhouse to the TMS on the 4/6 desktop since I was having some trouble getting the system to acknowledge the DCPIII drive and ingested locally to the rack in 3/7 (ended up transferring it from theater 3 before leaving this evening and deleted the feature file from the TMS)

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Updated the schedule and cue sheets to reflect the adjustments made by Jess for tomorrow night's final rounds in theaters 1 and 3

Additional Notes: Plex crashed at Trees again this evening and MODs radioed multiple times to have it fixed...I relaunched the app from the desktop in 4/6 and all it needed was to be unplugged and plugged back in at the bar

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
