NPP Projection Report 8/3 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: Matthew let me know that there was a power issue overnight on 14th street and ConEd cut power to the building for a few hours. Checked each booth and theater and everything was already on and working normally.

Reminder to make sure the cable box stays awake so the Olympics stay on in Trees.

Presentation Issues: Shortly after 2 I got a call that a guest said the picture on screen in Theater 2 was "turning green" on and off. I went and checked it and sure enough, it was going green/fuzzy for a good 20-30 seconds before going back to normal. It seemed infrequent and I only saw it happen once. It reminded me of when I needed to reseat the LEQDs because the screen was green and fuzzy after the dowser business in Theater 4 just before last Christmas. I immediately texted Jerry from DMS about it and he said to pull interrogator logs and reseat the LEQDs and the boards, and then pull interrogator logs after the following show. After reseating everything, I started the preshow and stayed in the theater watching until about 15 minutes into the feature. Nothing happened. Hopefully it holds up. Lillian will pull the logs again after the current show and send to Jerry/DMS to investigate.

Special Events/ AV set up: Spoons set up went well, and they said everything went great during the show. Broke it all down and returned everything where it's supposed to go.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Walter dropped off the Mummy trailer and I put it on a house reel with countdown and head leader. I also added a grease motor start cue, it ends with the release date fading to black so no need for a changeover cue. The trailer is scope, same as Magnolia which it will play before. Walter will be here for the screening and will collect the trailer afterward, so please detach the countdown/head leader and remove the grease cue before returning it to him!

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
