Projection Admin 8/9 Lillian (Blog from yesterday - forgot to post! Apologies!)



To do this evening/ was completed: I checked in with each theater before and after noon today, to make sure we were all in the clear after the fire alarm maintenance today. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Received the new content/trailer list from Kat for 8/16. Downloaded and ingested everything we need: Alien preshow 5min/15min/25min, Observe and Report trailer, Forecasts. 
Built all A1 playlists for the week of 8/16! Built some REP/SE shows, but quite a few still need to be done. Reached out to Desmond for some of his August slides for Appropriate Behaviour and Cameron Post. 

Trailer Updates: Built/Updated trailer packs for 8/16. 

Special Events/ AV set up: Olympics are on in Trees. 

Tech'd Magnolia today for the private in T6 tomorrow morning. Looks and sounds great. Credit offset slightly adjusted on the sheet. 

Appropriate Behaviour finished transcoding in T1. Ingested to the TMS since it wouldn't read when I attempted ingest directly to T3. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ingested the trailer for My Old Ass. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the print of Lady in the Water.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): 

Print/video Inspection: Changed the lenses/plates in T4 to 1.85 for Angel. Looking nice and bright in there. Projectors had some build up in and beneath the gate. Gave them a solid clean. 

Ran a reel of Angel as well as the railer for Lipstick for tech today with Cristina. Angel is not SR, it is Dolby-A. I've updated the print report. Volume levels for both the print and the trailer have been noted down on their respective cards.  

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Updated today. 

Maintenance/cleaning: Received our lamps from DMS. These have been properly stored. Invoice forwarded. We also got our air cans. I reorganized the supplies bin in 4/6. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. 

Marquee updated?: Added It Ends With Us to the front marquee. 

Posters updated?: Yes, added It Ends With Us to the Now Showing section.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
