NPP Projection Admin 9/13



To do this evening/ was completed: Inspected the last three reels of Mad Dog and put them back inside the cans for now. Print is in excellent condition.

Letters up for Wild Things.

New 9/20 forecast content ingested, as well as Generic_Fight elements and a few first run trailers. A1 9/20 playlists and trailer packs built, as well as a few SEs, initials on the trailer list.

Checked on booth 2 after the construction finished for the day. The AC is back on, please keep an eye on it for leaks tonight.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd and adjusted the playlist for Phase IV (there's a short credits sequence and it's over image, so I added two more minutes of black before leaning lights so it's not too abrupt. Cue sheets stay the same, though. DCP looks great. - L

Print/video Inspection: Tech'd both Normal Life and House By The Cemetery with Cristina today. I rewound Normal Life so that it's tails out on shipping reels, ready for house reels once the time comes.  Normal Life looks particularly great! L

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Want to clarify the TVs/Projector situation. Someone removed the splitter setup (i mentioned that someone removed a piece of equipment that allows the tvs display to go to the projector) but really and more specifically it's just the apple tv/plex signal was only routed to the TVs without the splitter, which splits the image/audio so that it can be displayed in two places at once. Alec put back the PS4 in the cabinet with the hdmi switch someone brought in. We shouldn't have any issues with image. L

Changed a ceiling bulb in Theater 7

Checked the theater 6 dowser after the issue last night, it seems fine. It can sometimes happen that the dowser open cue doesn't actually open the dowser, and hitting dowser close then dowser open again does the trick.

Alec helped me get the streaming setup in T7 for the private event on 10/29. I got my Amazon account up and ready with the app,  L

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
