Projection Admin 9/18



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey Team! Weekly update has been sent out. Please feast your eyes upon it when you get a chance.

Staff Screening info has been sent out, playlists have been built/scheduled and everything's blocked on the calendar. 
*The AC Units for the first floor theatres are working just fine. 
Our Cinema Team meeting went well today, we're looking good on content now, just waiting on The Harvest. 

Lots of shorts! I talk about this in the update, but Cristina sent over the info and links for The Bloody Lady shorts, which we can start downloading and ingesting. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Keys for The Substance opened up today. Film is ready to go. Looks and sounds great. It's supposed to be quite punchy and loud, so 5.5 sounded right to me, but we'll keep an ear out for anyone that requests a volume adjustment. 

Built/scheduled The Breakfast Club. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Desmond sent over the master doc for the Gotham Week Shorts (not NewFest or NoBudge related. Entirely separate thing. I only feel the need to make note of that here because we've got a lot of shorts coming our way right now). I added two sections to the doc - one to mark that a film has been downloaded, and another to mark that it has been ingested. I spent today prioritizing downloading the Gotham Week Shorts so we can finish that off in a jiffy whilst continuing to download NewFest films (and the shorts of the Bloody Lady shorts). On the DCPIII drive, I have downloaded almost every short apart from two (that are hopefully getting uploaded tonight - Desmond will likely give us a nudge), Thirsty Girl - waiting to get confirmation on whether we should download the OCAP or CCAP, and Plaisir since the link doesn't seem to be working. Other than that, please unzip Ovum and Shuttebird on the 4/6 comp (it was taking awhile in T1), then ingest all 8 shorts that are currently on the drive. Thank you! 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Dog Man. Stored and labeled in 3/7. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested The Breakfast Club. Reached out to Deluxe for the keys - they should come in tonight (maybe early tomorrow). If they don't, let me know and I'll bump this. 

Took us a minute to get Paramount to release the keys, but we finally got the keys for Transformers One today. 
Ingested other keys today for a few features. 

Please remember to make note of any features on the TMS that don't have keys or have keys that are going to expire.

Ingested the 5min Robots preshow for Wild Robots (minor difference between the Transformers preshow!)
Built the playlist for Wild Robots. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): 

Print/video Inspection: We received the prints Henry and Wild Things. 
I started inspecting Wild Things since it's screening tomorrow, which means a full inspection takes top priority this evening. So far, it looks excellent. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Updated information today. 

Maintenance/cleaning: We received our four APC units today. I brought 3 of them up to the 4/6 booth and brought one down to T1 for install soon. 
DMS will be in tomorrow to help us out with the fire alarm issues in T1. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
