Projection Admin 9/25



To do this evening/ was completed: NewFest teching starts tomorrow. Please look at the changes I made to the tech dates document above the 4/6 comp. Desmond made some swaps for Friday and Monday. Take a look at what needs to get downloaded! We had three features ready to go for tomorrow, and Alec and I downloaded the last two for five total. I am currently downloading Gondola to the preshows/trailers drive since I couldn't find it anywhere on the desktop (this had apparently been downloaded, but I couldn't find it anywhere), so once that is finished, please unzip it and ingest this along with Carnage 4 Christmas, which I downloaded to the preshows/trailers drive today. For time's sake, I'm sort of scrapping the "who's responsible for what" section, at least to an extent, so I have one of Will's features Rookie open on the desktop (it's the frame.io link!) which you can also download tonight, but I would do this after unzipping Gondola and ingesting it with Carnage as that must get done tonight. Special Events/ AV set up: 
*Built and scheduled the playlist for the Q&A screening of A Different Man this Friday. Cue sheet updated. 
*Built New Fest tech playlists for Friday!
*Built the Gotham Shorts playlists. Downloaded and ingested the sponsor short for Program 2, and ingested the slide for both programs, which will be used for the intro and Q&As. - Lillian 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received and ingested KDMs for Wild Robot, Speak No Evil. 
Received new KDMs for A Different Man. - Lillian 

Downloading I'm Not Everything (NewFest feature) to Almodovar drive in booth 1. This and two other features on the drive need to be ingested for teching tomorrow. I wrote a list of which ones which is taped to the drive. -Alec

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Christina, Joe Berlinger's assistant, will be here Friday morning to pickup the print and posters. She has my number. - Lillian

Print/video Inspection: Watched the full Harvest DCP, no issues with it. It'll play fine tonight -Alec

Maintenance/cleaning: Went searching for more poster keys and found a few in 3/7, hidden behind/under the stuff on the shelving unit we use below the letters. - Lillian 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): 

Marquee updated?: Yes. Added Henry and Demon Knight to the 35mm side. - Lillian 

Posters updated?: Yes. Took down the Metallica poster in the lobby and put it back in the tube it came in so that we can give it back to Christina when she picks up the print. Put the SNL poster in there instead. - Lillian

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
