Projection Admin 9/26



To do this evening/ was completed: Dustin came round today to begin NewFest techs in T1 and T3! I took a look at everything just myself early this morning just to make sure there would be no surprises. Everything went super well. Dustin was actively marking down sound and ratio information whilst I adjusted the features. The information for each film will be available in the tabs Nitehawk 1, Nitehawk 2, and Nitehawk 3 in the master doc. 
Note: For tomorrow! We will be teching Rookie & Gondola in T3, plus the TLC Shorts and Besties Shorts. Both shorts programs are ready to go with their tech playlists in T1 - built them yesterday and double checked today. I am redownloading the last file (video file) for the DCP of Rookie in 4/6, to the Almodovar drive. It should be done in about two hours. Do not close the tab. 
Gondola is ready to go in T3. 

*The DCP of Queens of Drama came in today and I am downloading it via ftp (cyberduck) in T1. This will be for part of our tech on Monday. It should be done downloading around 8 or 9pm. Copy over to a drive and ingest. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Took a look at the playlists and feature content for A Different Man and The Wild Robot. Adjusted volume for The Wild Robot since this one can get pretty loud. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops for Poltergeist III tonight. Amityville trailer is the same ratio, so just switch sound formats when the time comes. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the DCP'd the slide for the Q&A for A Different Man (tomorrow eve in T1!) Playlist is updated. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): FYI - We are waiting to send out the NBC prints (Condo Painting/Mad Dog) since Mad Dog plays this weekend, we will have both picked up at the same time after the screenings this weekend. As for the Metallica: Some Kind of Monster print, that will get picked up by Christina tomorrow morning. I've already coordinated with her so please keep this in the booth. Thanks! 

Print/video Inspection: Ran Mad Dog and Glory in T4 with Cristina and my goodness did I miss running reels in that booth! Print looks really good. Everything has been marked. FYI - remember that we switched theatres for this one from 1 to 4. Info has been up on the white board. I brought the reels up from T1. 
Ran the Amityville II trailer and the first reel of Poltergeist III in T1. Both look and sound good! Info has been marked down on their white cards. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes! Added tracking information for Demon Knight and SOF

Maintenance/cleaning: Ken was in this morning to check out first floor AC Units and everything's working just fine. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes

Marquee updated?: Yes! Put up A Different Man and The Wild Robot. Took down Alien Romulus. I blanked on taking down His Three Daughters, which had its final show yesterday eve, so that can also come down. 

Posters updated?: Yes. Adjust the banners for A Different Man. Put up The Wild Robot. Took down Romulus.

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start. NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all. Thanks for the Christmas coverage and for quickly hopping on board to accompany Alec while he's out for a little while - I really appreciate it. We've just about got our schedule sorted, so please remember to take a look to see the changes made.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked that T6 and T6 specific playlists are all set.  Tomorrow! Please get your eyes on When Harry Met Sally just to check sound/image and credits info. Screens this Saturday/Sunday but the keys open up tomorrow. I adjusted the playlist based on the ingest letter (and looked it up online, but the offset is a little different, so you'll want to make sure!) Thanks!
