Projection Close 9/30



To do this evening/ was completed: Cable for Trees was on the fritz this evening. I took a look at this in the booth and the AJA's hdmi and ethernet ports weren't lighting up, only the charge. I changed out the ethernet cable, fiddled with the hdmi, blew air to clean the ports and circuit board and the green lights seemed to occasionally flicker then, but nothing more. I'll try a different transmitter tomorrow to see if that helps. I rebooted the box and everything, but there's also a chance the connection downstairs could just be funky with the projector/cabling.  

Presentation Issues: Not an issue, but shutdown the T3 final round for My Old Ass since no one showed. 

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Took a look at all new content and playlists for the next week ahead. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: I downloaded the j2c file for The Silence of My Hands and the file size looks to be correct now- it's actually larger than its OG size, but that's fine/normal. Copied it over to the drive with the rest of the files in the container and it is now ingesting well!

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Reached out to DHL for pickup since we've now got three outbound prints that they can snag from us. We did make note of this in the blog a few times, so thanks everyone for making sure the prints stayed together.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
