NPP Projection Admin 10/27

To do this evening/ was completed: Ran a test pattern in theater 2 this morning to check the image quality and it looks unchanged (white is darker than normal and the majority of the colors are less saturated than they should be)

Presentation Issues: We received a complaint from a guest this afternoon regarding the darkness of the image in theater 2 (they were attending the 1:35PM show of Venom: The Last Dance OCAP) so I told the MODs to reassure them it was being worked on but that there was nothing to be done about it for the rest of the show

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Raised the feature volume for The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T after running a quick tech this morning + removed its feature content from the server after the show concluded

Added the "Hell is a Teenage Girl" double feature show playlist to the TMS for tomorrow and made sure it coincided with the timing on the cue sheet (its content had not been transferred and should finish tonight)

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The Ring and The 5000 Fingers of Dr. T screenings in theaters 1 and 3 went smoothly this afternoon + scope lenses and plates are in place for New Moon tomorrow evening

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
