NPP Projection Admin 10/29 + 10/28 Close



To do this evening/ was completed:
Twilight/Jennifer's Body event went very smoothly. Mics returned to T1 booth.

TMS scheduled for the coming week. Emilia Perez 11/1 playlists built. Removed all 10/18 content from servers.

Twilight New Moon re-inspected and packaged up. There is a Fedex Ground label inside one of the cans so a pickup can be scheduled.

Special Events/ AV set up: I showed Chenelle how to operate and set the Fidelio devices for tonight's event in case she needs to do it.  - MC

Th7 private event tonight - They have decided to switch to The Substance OCAP for the feature tonight. I’ve updated the playlist and scheduled the playlist for Th7. 5 of the guests will be using assisted listening devices for the visually impaired (audio description) track, so have those ready to go before seating. I’ve tested everything and it’s all fine, should be a very simple event from projection’s standpoint. We’ll also need to remove all 6 ADA seats in the theater: both of the aisle seats in rows 4 and 5 and both pairs of seats on either end of the front row. -A.W.L.

Maintenance/cleaning: Th2 lamp - Cleaned out the lamphouse including the reflector as it was quite dusty. Also removed and cleaned the glass disc just behind the dowser (can’t remember the official name for this piece) as this was pretty dusty as well. I changed the larger paper air filter on this projector, too. The one in there was practically caked in brick dust. The smaller one needs changing but we don’t have any new ones on hand at the moment (I could’ve sworn I reached out to DMS to order us some but I will write again), but I knocked a bunch of the brick dust out of it and it should function alright until we get new ones in.

-After this cleaning, it looked like the brightness on screen was improved a bit (though I increased the lamp power to 100% for both Default and Scope light files before cleaning so that could have had an effect). Getting all that dust out definitely didn’t hurt anyhow. I’m still going to follow up with DMS about this because this projector seems to go through lamps a lot quicker than the other CP2220s at both Nitehawk locations. Th2 does have the biggest screen of either venue so that could also be playing a role, but I feel like we should be getting a lot more time out of our lamps in there than we have been. -A.W.L.


Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): I filled out the cue sheets for the coming week and everything should be filled out. I tried writing out the timing for Seven Samurai including the Intermission. - MC
