Projection Admin 10/25



To do this evening/ was completed: Weekly (belated) update for our current (and yet upcoming) week is out. Please get your eyes on it. We already expect that everyone is keeping track of their schedule/our event calendar, but hopefully this will be a good reminder. Few other things of note in there, so, yeah! I went over a few things with Chenelle today over the phone in regard to The Orphan ADA screening this upcoming Tuesday.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Some content is still not transferring despite being scheduled, so I sent 5000 Fingers of Dr. T to T2 today and tech'd it. KGO is all set for tomorrow, too. I've been in contact with Kevin and John. 

Built the playlist for KGO, Double Feature Event, Nosferatu 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Desmond and I went over the setup and show content for the Scream show w/ drag performances. All light settings are ready. I added the pink wash and center spots setting again since it was the same as the next combo for red, although, what we'll likely do is just use the fader to go from pink to red since that's in the ROS and is easily doable on the Spotlight board. I can show this to Jack. McKegg and I accidentally made the Gale Weathers Intro video, with different titles, so I made Miss Malices' performance slide. We'll take a look at this on Monday along with some prints. 

KGO all set for tomorrow morning!

We received Twilight: New Moon today. Brought it down to T1. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Started inspecting New Moon, just to make sure it's okay for Monday and it's in good condition--with a nice cyan SRD track--despite a few splices and odd bits (most certainly from a platter...) here and there. I added some photos to the drive for a first look. 

I ran the first reel of The Ring today for Desmond, and got volume. Everything's noted on the white card for the print, ready for Sunday. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Checked the filters in T3 and cleaned the glass in 2, some parts of the projector area. 
Took the recycling out in 4/6. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Venom info was off on the new sheets (but today was somehow correct). I updated the formula. Im not entirely sure what went wrong there, but it's fixed now. The rest of the week has been updated. I let Rebecca know.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
