Projection Admin 10/31 Happy Halloween!

Saw McKegg and Morgan today, which was a lovely little surprise. 💫

Alec and I setup for the PA in T1 for tonight, but then they showed up and explained that they didn't need it, so Will is off the hook for post show cleanup. 

Keys for Ghostbusters open up tomorrow! 

BTW - filters for christies have been ordered. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd Emilia Perez and took a look at the CCAP and OCAP playlists in T6 since Jack mentioned seeing the exclamation mark on the TMS for it, which is only on one show in a few days...another strange TMS thing, which is likely a database issue, as Chris has mentioned. Anyhow, the film looks and plays just fine. No playlist trickery, but yes, before T6 was not ingested OCAP features properly unless out of Eclairplay in the IMS. It's functioning fine right now. 

Built the playlist for Gods of Times Square. I saw that we had no masking cue for 1.66 in T3 as of late, so I added the cue (the film is 1.78, but only the opening logo and the rest is relatively mixed ratio --which makes sense-- but 1.66 is a good fit for this one). So it'll start with 1.78, keeping the lens file then there's a masking cue in the feature for it to come in at 1.66, which works well as there's a bit of black before the feature in the CPL. It looks and sounds good. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Nosferatu is all set. Playlist is checked. Feature checked. 

Reached out to Chenelle to see if we can confirm preshow needs for Nightbitch, and I sent our certs for T2 to the person in charge of all things DCP related since it's encrypted. I asked if they'll be using the slide we received for both the q&a and intro. More to follow soon. 

Sent out our certs for T6 for the private event on 12/09! 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received posters for Emilia Perez this afternoon, which I'll put up tomorrow, unless Will has time to put one up outside. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the prints of Seven Samurai and Twin Peaks! I brought these down to T1 and started inspecting Seven Samurai. It's a beast. Ten reels. So far, print looks great. One annoying splice halfway through the first reel that isn't structurally bad so much as it is likely to throw you out of frame, so be careful. 

Nightbitch slide has been DCP'd and ingested. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Cleared the TMS of content we don't need to make sure it stays tidy. 

Print/video Inspection:

Maintenance/cleaning: Dusted off the speakers in T2. Golly, do they get dusty fast. Lots of sandy bits falling from the wall today.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
