NPP Projection Admin 11/22



To do this evening/ was completed: New forecasts downloaded and ingested, as well as Generic_Christmas_V2 content and Generic_v11. Old content removed from servers. 11/22 Moana shows scheduled in TMS. 
(ingested.downloaded the new BOGO2024 in the PG playlists) - L

Outgoing posters taken down, Queer, Gladiator II and LOTR posters up with the corresponding snipes. The marquee grappler broke during letter change-out.

Inspected Insomnia. It's in excellent condition. Stills uploaded to Drive, Conrad notified. Put it back on shipping reels for now.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built all A1 playlists and went over trailer pack changes for 11/29. Built the playlist for Lenny. - L

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: School screening went just fine apart from how much popcorn they dumped on the floor. I got in there to help with the sweeping it was so bad. High schoolers, sheesh. - L

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Matrix is still not available on Deluxe FYI. 
We received the Ghost in the Shell print and Polar Express DCP this evening. - L

Marquee updated?:While doing the marquee and posters, Jack and I had a tough time due to how windy it was and how wet the letters were. The pole wound up blowing over at one point and the top suction apparatus broke, so I bought a new suction pole. I ask Gil to approve the order as soon as he could. Later on, Will and I got the ladder out to finish up the marquee, which we did, including the 35mm side. Gosh, it's cold out there. - L

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
