NPP Projection Report 11/12 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: DMS delivered a loaner projector for Theater 2 today. It's the same model Christie we had. The drivers (plus John and Juan) helped us get it up to the booth then Bob installed it with the help of Chris over the phone. This took just about all day and unfortunately our first show got off to a rocky start when the ILS file for the scope channel had reverted all values to 0 when we switched over to it for the feature (in layman's terms the picture was zoomed in way too far, completely out of focus, and half on the screen and half on the ceiling). We paused the movie and Bob eventually put up a test pattern (after letting Jared know we would need to do this) to fix the ILS file. The audience all stayed and we got the movie on a few minutes later. That said, I've adjusted all playlists for Th2 so that the projector stays on the scope lens file for the rest of the night (the next rounds are Conclave and Heretic, both scope) so there's no chance of the ILS reverting to 0 again. Preshow and in-house trailers are gonna look a little awkward but it just how it's going to have to be for tonight. Bob is going to come back tomorrow to work on the lens files some more so we can play our normal playlists again (plus To Sleep With Anger screens in there tomorrow which is 1.85).

-Side note about Theater 2: we need to keep the booth as clean as possible, especially since we now have an extremely expensive piece of equipment in there which does not belong to us. I swept up a lot of dust off the floor today but didn't get a chance to use the vacuum before we had to open it. Will go harder on it tomorrow.

Special Events/ AV set up: Set everything up in Theater 3 for the private event tonight. Two mics & chairs needed for the Q&A and one of the mics is on a stand for the intro. Spots remote is in the box behind the curtain as per usual and Chenelle knows it's back there. We looked through the playlist together as well and everything should be fine tonight. Spotify playlist is up on the PC in 3/7 and connected to the Non-Sync input on the T3 processor. Just press play before preshow starts, there's a cue to switch the sound to Non-Sync. This will play over the holding slide for preshow so switch to the mic input manually and raise the volume to 7.0 for the intro.

Print/video Inspection: Ran some of Beyond the Mat for Cristina in T4. I accidentally threaded the second reel, but we just looked at that. I'm going to adjust the 1.37 masking preset slightly for this tomorrow as there was a bit of bleed with the preset as it is now. Volume logged on the info card.

Checked Ninja Scroll for tonight quickly. The feature is 1.35 (no that's not a typo), and looks fine with 1.37 lens and masking. There's a brief interview with the director before the movie starts which is 1.78 letterboxed in the 4x3 area, so lens and masking should be set to 1.37 for all of it. All of this is updated in the playlist and I added automation cues for volume and credit lights.
