NPP Projection Report 11/13 Admin

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey everyone. Weekly email is out, so please remember to confirm with us that you've read through your responsibilities for the week ahead. I've also put this in the update, but I figured it'd also be best to put it here, too, which is that I adjusted the formula and all shows for A Real Pain on the cue sheets because the information was entered incorrectly. The full (Film Bot) run time was entered in the start credits section, instead of where the credits actually start, which you'll see in the Actual Run Time section (it's just the amount of credits subtracted from the full run time). Just a friendly reminder!  - Lillian

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: DCP'd the Intro video for Fire Walk, DCP'd the slide for Sudden Death. Ingested both and added them to the playlists. - L

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Attack the Block all set for the private screening tonight, notes about To Sleep With Anger are below, in Alec's notes.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Started converting Boy and the Heron (Eng dub) to DCP. -AL

I received the DCP of Sugarcane (private event for NatGeo in December) via Aspera which has finished downloading to the DCPIII drive in 4/6, but before you ingested this, I now currently have the DCP of The Pit downloading via the Filemail app which will also finish to the DCPIII drive. So hold off on ingesting both until that's finished. Thanks! - L

Chased down the keys for The Substance since they were going to expire on Friday. All set now. I uploaded other keys, too. We're up to date. - L

Maintenance/cleaning: Bob came back today to work on Theater 2 some more. We got it to a better place for sure, mainly by adjusting the boresight again and turning off ILS. This means that the lens will never move, it will just stay zoomed in and focused to where it is. As it was, we weren't able to get focus presentable for both flat and scope files with ILS turned on. Channel switches will have no effect on the lens position. We set everything for scope then "shrank" the image on the flat file so it fits the masking and doesn't get cut off. We still only have 1.85 and scope files but they both look good. I checked features (including To Sleep With Anger) and we're fine for now. Part of the difficulty is getting the projector positioned properly which has proved really challenging. Putting it in a comparable place to where our old projector was does not work like you'd think it would. When I did that I could not get the image to line up with the screen with the lens offset. I plan to continue working on this (hopefully with more help from DMS) but would like to free up more time in the theater before I do. It's just really difficult getting everything perfect before we open. -AL

FYI-lens changes are working as automated in Theater 2. Just make sure it doesn't switch to "FHD," it shouldn't happen but that channel shouldn't be used. -AL

We received all the parts n pieces for our new office chair so that we don't have to use the one that's broken and on a harsh tilt. I built the chair, so it's ready to use!
RIP, sweet chair. We can still use it in T1 or 2 though. - L

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):  Yes! Checked/update. Scheduled from Friday to a little bit of Monday on the TMS, if you wouldn't mind finishing that up tonight. - L
