NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open


To do this evening/ was completed: I've been raising Wicked to 7.0 and Gladiator to 5.8 for the sold out shows in 1 & 2.

Heads up as I'm not sure we were officially notified outside of the film schedule email, but Chinatown is in Theater 4 next weekend, not Theater 1.

Special Events/ AV set up: The Aileen Wuornos screening and Zoom Q&A went very smoothly. Broke everything down and returned everything mostly to its proper place. Just one of the PA speakers needs to be brought back to Theater 2 and the AJA converter placed under the curtain in Theater 1. Recorded the Q&A and uploaded it to the drive.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): The DCP drive with Polar Express on it is a combo drive of holiday titles from Warner. We're not showing Polar Express but we are showing Christmas Story and Elf which are both on this drive and I've ingested them.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): We have quite a few DCPs that should be sent back, all the labels are ready. Most are UPS but there's a couple that are FedEx. One of the Deluxe ones feels empty but it's not, it has a blu-ray in it instead of a drive.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
