Projection Admin 11/18



To do this evening/ was completed: Wicked DCPs did come through. I reached out last week just to check in on the off chance something went awry since it'd been a few days since we received the ingest letter, but I think they just sent it out a little too early. I checked in with them again since I couldn't find the features this morning, but most first run features take a few days to pop up after the letter anyway, but, the DCPs came in today slowly, one by one as I refreshed the Deluxe vault a few times. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlists for Wicked. Reached out to Kat about Moana 2 preshow needs since it comes out midweek on the 26th and we already have content, so, might as well make those playlists! 

Ingested Moana 2 to the TMS

Went over all playlists made for 11/22

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: This morning I went through the whole NoBudge #42 playlist and made a few adjustments since it didn't have a lights down cue, but also, the last short Favorite Daughter had a blurry, unreadable scroll in the credits. I asked Desmond since I knew this got techd, but there had, in fact, been another short uploaded, which was the corrected version. I downloaded and DCP'd the corrected short, tech'd and added it to the playlist. Tested all four mics in the theatre! Everything is ready to go. 

Double checked The Brood and it's all set for T2.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Got the preshow content from Vito for Ovid, DCP'd and ingested it to the server. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Any Given Sunday got picked up! 

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Put Twin Peaks on house reels for tomorrow's screening. Would be good to run a reel of this tomorrow for volume. 

Continued a few course bits. Made notes for the month ahead since we'll be very busy (especially those first two weeks of December!!)

Quite literally just noticed an air filter intake warning in T3. We'll be fine for tonight. Light is halfway through its life expectancy. Keep an eye on others that have a half life. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled out the rest of the SE events for this week (Queens Cartoonists will likely need a bit of tinkering as the memo has yet to be fully filled out). Made the formulas for Wicked and Moana 2

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
