Projection Admin 11/25

To do this evening/ was completed: Staff Screenings for Moana 2 have been emailed out and scheduled on the TMS as well as our Google calendar. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd the Moana 2 playlist - looks and sounds great! Film was mixed super well. 7.1 is working a treat. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: The Paramount reps for the MTV Doc Black Box (private event on 12/2) sent the DCPs over. There's one for the feature and one for a slide. I've been downloading them piece by piece through Media Shuttle (it's somehow cooperating and it usually does not, especially when you don't have the app) but anyhow - the first one, labeled Black Box 1 is done and currently copying over to the preshows/trailers drive. Do not eject drive until it has finished copying over. Then, ingest both DCPs. The second DCP, Black Box 2, has already finished to the same drive and is ready to go. 

PLEASE NOTE that for Lenny, which screens tomorrow, I've added two volume cues in the feature since the opening logos and what not are significantly louder than the feature. 

Vito, the director of Ovid, came over with his film file this evening and to chat a bit about DCP making. I'll be in touch with him for a tech (hopefully) this upcoming Friday, which we'll be sure to get done before we open since there's an added round. 

DCP'd and ingested Desmond's slides for The Matrix - intro and breakdown. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received posters for Lilo & Stitch and Elio. Stored and labeled in 3/7. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the CRU drive of and ingested The Matrix to T2. 

Heretic and Wild Robot keys ingested. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I got rid of the DCPs on the desk (CRU drives) took the rest to the post office this morning and sent them on their way. There's one I brought back to double check because it felt too light and just had a disc in it, so that one can go out this week, too.

Maintenance/cleaning: Jack mentioned in his blog that the lamp went out (with a "unexpected lamp off" warning") before quickly turning it back on again during preshow for Wicked in T1. Since the lamp is/was stable and the projector, too, I did just notice that it was pretty close to its change date. Last time the lamp got changed was May and ran it a little bit further than this round of time, but since we're running so many shows that are rather long, I didn't feel like pushing it, so I changed it this morning. Sensor warnings are still present but not interfering with presentation. I tested image in the theatre for a while and looked at various shows.

Marquee updated?: Got out the ladder with Ariel to put up the new brunch title. The new pole should be arriving (hopefully) by tomorrow. It's not one of the Mr. Longarm models we're used to but it will be very similar - I just wanted to find something with an easier pull at the top.
