Projection Admin 12/12



To do this evening/ was completed: It's cold as heck out. Friendly reminder to maybe keep an extra sweater or warm accessories in the booth in case you gotta do the marquee/posters. 

Weekly notice is out. I did forget to mention Scrooged, but we have that sorted and there's no memo for it. Keys come in tonight (as mentioned below). 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: School screening went great today. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Took out a chair in T3. I put it back already. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Reached out about the keys for Scrooged, which should be coming in late this evening. 

Transferred Love Actually to T3 and Turbulence to T1. 

Received the DCP of Presence for the screening in T3. Ingested directly. 

DCP'd the slide for Turbulence. 

Received the DVD of Space Jam (2 disc set with the OG and reboot). Chenelle confirmed with me that they want to watch the OG film. I put it through Make MKV in T1. Feel free to start this DCP! 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected The Fisher King print and got it packed up for pickup. I contacted Sony. The courier will be here tomorrow morning/afternoon for it. 

Almost done with Jumanji - Print is in decent condition. Says it's Dolby A (which was discontinued in 1994, in America) but the print was released in 95. Could be Dolby A or SR, so we'll run a reel to find out.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
