Projection Admin 12/18



To do this evening/ was completed: Weekly Update and Staff Screenings are out. Everything's been blocked on the calendar. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built playlists for staff screenings and elf, wonderful life, don't look back. Kat will be transferring the Nosferatu preshow to the downloads folder this evening. I did just take a look and it seems as though it's almost ready! So please start downloading and ingesting. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Reached out to Chenelle about the first two private events in January (1/5 - Heat, and 1/9 Brooklyn Nets presentation). Heat (BluRay) will be dropped off this evening. Check in with MOD if you don't get radioed. For 1/9, she's still trying to hash a few things out but all in all, it'll be a simple laptop setup and they'll control the slides. Update: Literally just picked up the BluRay from MOD. 

Just saw John who asked for a mic in Trees and not for the intro, so Jack is setting that up now. (film feast)

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Reached out about a bunch of keys today so that we could get a better idea of when we can tech and schedule screenings for staff. Most of this information is in the weekly update(!) so please read. Got the keys for Sonic today...whew! Thanks Jeffrey for escalating that. 

*Keys for It's a Wonderful Life will come in tomorrow. 

The Apartment has been  ingested to the TMS. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Jumanji outbound today, but we've had trouble with payment confirmation recently since we got a new company Amex card and apparently our FedEx account had not updated yet. It should hopefully be alright now, but we'll keep y'all in the know and please do make note of it if Jumanji doesn't get out of here tonight. 

Print/video Inspection:

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes! Updated today with tracking and inspection confirmation. 

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Updated and checked.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
