Projection Admin 12/20



To do this evening/ was completed: Got a notice about the volume being too loud in T2 for Wicked. it was, indeed, pretty loud, so I adjusted it. I did sit with the film for a bit just to make sure. Playlists for this feature are now at 6.0 volume, which is perfectly fine. 

Note: when ingesting manually to Screenwriter, don't plug a drive into the Dell server in the rack(what we used to do for the TMS), instead, plug into the bottom server. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked the playlists for tomorrow. 

Trailer Updates: Checked trailers for 12/27 and 1/03. Ingested 28 Years Later from Deluxe. Ingested the Altman trailer from the drive. 

Built new trailer packs including a rep pack for Hook and The Apartment.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected all of Billie Jean, which is in good condition but please be sure to check the notes for this one as there's a bit of funky head leader, few rough patches of damage and what seems to be less credits than there should be.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): The information for Mufasa was correct for Thursday but not for today, so I'm not entirely sure how the end credits worked out for the first round of shows as opposed to the last when Wyatt informed me that the timing was off. The filmbot runtime was entered into the credits section (aka "actual runtime," which I know is a bit confusing). Also, Mufasa OCAP rounds were not scheduled on the TMS for Sat and Sun in T7. Please double check this against the TMS in order to find any errors. I updated all the times for Mufasa this week. I bumped all content up to transfer.

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
