Projection Close 12/23/24



To do this evening/ was completed: Not to fear- we got the keys to Moana 2 and The Apartment. Ingested them to the TMS. A wonderful thing to see a full house for It's a Wonderful Life!

Presentation Issues:

Ordering/Receiving (content): I only noticed that we received the Sundays on Fire print later this evening as there wasn't any film when I got in or while Jack was here. I wanted to get a head start on this so a report is there to finish up the film and the first reel has been taken care of. See notes below. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Note: we lose Gladiator and Conclave after tomorrow!!

Print/video Inspection: Made an FYI note about the SOF print, which has an extra set of cues not near, but a few minutes before the actual motor/changeover cue. Print is from The Academy and in good condition!

Uploaded photos of Killer Klowns and Lifeforce to the drive. 

Moved some lost inspection reports to the right folder (year).

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Double checked the holiday schedule for 12/25 and 12/26 with the updated changes Matthew sent over. We're all set. 

Marquee updated?: Brunch side of the marquee has been taken care of! Terribly cold out there. Remember to bring gloves with you or keep a pair in the booth!

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
