NPP Projection Close 1/20 + 1/21 Admin



To do this evening/ was completed: FOFIF Year One screening and Q&A went smoothly. Mixer setup broken down afterward.

Denzel trailer ingested and added to R 1/24 packs. A1 R playlists built.

Tech'd all of NoBudge43, volumes and ratios logged. Will build playlist tomorrow. Also looked at the new Malice video for tomorrow's drag show. Volume good.

Loops ran for tonight. Cleaned the projectors as well.

Anora, Conclave, Flow, Moana content removed from IMSs, still on LMS though.

Killer Klowns 35 went smoothly as well. Print re-inspected and packaged up.

Presentation Issues: T4 spotlight remote triggered T3 spotlight again. I was aware of this issue before hitting the lights for the T4 intro, so I was very careful with the remote but still the light in T3 was triggered. So this goes to show how careful you need to be. T3 light was only on screen for about 90 seconds.
-Looking into possibly installing switches for the outlets these are plugged into so we can switch them off when we're not using them -AL

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set out two chairs and a mic stand for the Q&A in T1 tonight. -AL

Outgoing/Shipping (content): The mystery box should be actually getting picked up tomorrow (Wedesday). Fingers crossed ... -AL

Maintenance/cleaning: I replaced the USB-over-ethernet extender in T6 since it stopped working. The one I replaced it with is the same make as the one that died, and these seem unreliable so I ordered more of the ones I put in T1 and T5 which are still working. Will swap it out once they arrive. -AL

Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
