NPP Projection Report 1/22 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Built the cue sheets for the week of 1/24. Our cinema meeting went well! We're waiting on Short Cuts, but we're looking good on content California Split came in this evening and Jack is inspecting it. Staff Screenings have been scheduled and the weekly update is OUT.  - Lillian 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built North by Northwest, California Split, and Lifeforce playlists. -AL

Scheduled shows for the week with the exception of Short Cuts, Wages of Fear, and Handmaiden which still need to be built. -AL

Downloaded PS content Thriller V1.2 for Wages of Fear and Handmaiden - I am currently ingesting the 15 and 25min but the 5 min is still downloading to the desktop. - Lillian

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Converted the new song for tonight to DCP and added it to the playlist. -AL

Set up the mixer, wirelesss mic receiver and speakers in T2 tonight for Nosferatu. Double checked the spots settings for red/red with spots. 703, 704. Friendly reminder to turn on the breakers a couple minutes before using them so they can warm up. Mics are charging in the booth, but everything has been tested. - Lillian 

The hosts for the private event on 2/2 (kids bday) is having trouble with the movie they want to show so will likely choose one of ours. Chenelle will keep us updated. Nothing fancy for this event. The usual. - Lillian 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received two versions of North by Northwest but only keys for one. I deleted the one we're not getting keys for and added the correct one to the playlist. -AL

Deleted old playlists. In conversation with folks for Curious Girl and The Fall (the latter of which we night still have on the server at WB) - Lillian 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Checked Jimmy Dean, looks good. Raised the volume to 6.5. -AL

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Updated -AL

Maintenance/cleaning: Ordered female XLR connectors in an attempt to fix the Yamaha mixer for T1, will let you all know how it goes. -AL

Checked the lamps/diagnostics/content in T7 and T5 just to make sure we're not getting any flickering or other issues. Also, I ordered more canned air since we're low. Should be here soon. - Lillian

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
