NPP Projection Report 1/30 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Remember to check I'm Still Here tomorrow! Keys open tonight.

The cinema team are watching a Sundance screener in T4 tomorrow off of Desmond's laptop. I set up an AJA receiver in the T4 booth and grabbed the Transmitter from under the curtain in T1 and left it in 4/6, with an ethernet and HDMI cable, to be set up in there tomorrow.

Swept Away DCP is unzipping onto DCPIII on the T1 iMac.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the Feb 25 Misfit Alley preshow clip, removed the Jan 25 one from the Very Curious Girl playlist and swapped the Feb 25 one in. Also deleted all outdated Misfit Alley, Ridiculous Sublime, ABC, and Re-Consider This preshow clips.

Added lights up cue to the Glory feature in the playlist and scheduled it.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: This is looking ahead a month but the March Sundays on Fire selection is going to require soft subtitling. I found an application for this which should work well, we should be getting this print pretty early to be able to test this out.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We got I'm Still Here posters, plus more Love Hurts.

Print/video Inspection: Checked Yes Day DCP and added necessary cues to the playlist.

Checked The Fall for volume and credit offset. Class of '07 preshow clips are still uploading to the drive. I managed to download the 15min and 25min clips but the 5min is still uploading. Please finish building and schedule this playlist tonight, I started it but it just has the feature with volume and lights up cue.

Checked the three first runs during staff screenings. Good to go. We still need to check I'm Still Here, those keys don't open until 5pm tonight.

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
