Projection Admin 1/15


To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all, I put this in the Weekly Update I sent out today, but just want to remind you again here that, after tomorrow, we lose Anora, A Real Pain, Moana 2 and Conclave. Lots of titles! Everything we brought back on a split will leave us by Friday. Also, we had our cinema meeting and we're looking mighty fine on content. Staff party tonight! - Lillian 

I'd give it another hour or so just to make sure, but Kat has been uploading the preshow for The Wolf Man. It's still in the DoxNotxIngest folder, but should be done quite soon! - Lillian 

Staff Screenings are out and scheduled. Everything's been blocked on the calendar. - Lillian 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Be extra careful when scheduling in Screenwriter since it's 24hr time on there. Today's shows in 3 were scheduled 2 hours early. -AL

Reached out to Cristina about the Evil Dead slide, which is coming from the Brooklyn Horror folks. She's bumping them!
Desmond sent the content for the Nosferatu drag performance. I DCP'd and ingested the slides for Malice/God Complex and redid the breakdown slide with the music sent over. Old DCP for the breakdown silde has been erased from the TMS. 
We received the DCP of Jimmy Dean, which has been ingested to the TMS. 
DCP'd the slide for Year One. - Lillian


Outgoing/Shipping (content): Cotton, Brewster, and Big Heat are all on their way back to their respective depots. -AL

Return labels attached for Popeye, on the cart with a pickup scheduled for tomorrow. -AL

The mystery box which was mistakenly delivered to us by FedEx should be getting picked up tonight. The rep I spoke with on the phone said she'd be sending a driver at some point tonight. -AL

Maintenance/cleaning: The new ILS control board for the T6 Christie is here, I will replace it tomorrow. -AL

Roger is coming on Saturday morning to put the new lamp in Theater 1. I'll be here at 9:30 to let him in and he'll be able to finish up before the theater opens at 11:20. He's aware of how much time the theater will be free for. I'll make note of any changes we can make to the lamphouse for better light distribution, too. -AL


Cleaned a bunch of films/preshow we don't need off of T2 server. On the LMS, it's still showing an incorrect amount of space on the T2 server (in the Reports section) but it's a lot more clear now, which you can see in the individual IMS. - Lillian

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled in timing for the Morricone Youth show tomorrow. Scheduled the playlist for tomorrow, too. -AL

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. SE screenings went smoothly. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
