NPP Projection Admin 2/11



To do this evening/ was completed: Companion and Oscar Shorts ingested to LMS. Upcoming week scheduled with the exception of Oscar Shorts. Those playlists still need to be made.

Looked at Phantom and Mood for Love. All good. Phantom a bit narrower than 1:33 so there will be some pillarboxing. Playlist might need to have a black cue added to the end because the credits are only thirty seconds long.

Loops ran for tonight.

Pickup rescheduled for tomorrow for Pieces.

Virtuosity print arrived. Down in T1.

Flow screening again this weekend. Was removed from servers so reached out to Deluxe for a new upload. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built out most of the Porcelain War playlist for tomorrow's event, but I would double check everything. Ingested the holding slide into Theater 4. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops and taped the port glass for Devil in a Blue Dress tonight.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Into the Fire print came, for next month's Sundays on Fire. -AL

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Took a look at Porcelain War and it's looking and sounding great. I made a note of the credit timing. 

Inpsected Into the Fire. It's in better-than-anticipated shape, mostly solid though some accordion creasing at the ends of reels 4 and 5. Also 5 got some water damage it looks like, so there's some discoloration in the first half of the reel. Also it's a bit faded but not completely. Biggest shock of all: this print has English subtitles, so soft-titling won't be necessary.
Three of the shipping reels this came on are unusable, one fell apart and I had to use the split reel, and the other two became severely warped once the film came off of them, so much so that we can't wind any film back on. I reached out to HFC for replacement shipping reels, hopefully they help us out. For now, reels 1, 2, and 5 are on house reels. 3 and 4 are tails out on the usable shipping reels in the box. -AL

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
